An overhaul is a mechanical restoration of the instrument. Saxocentric overhauls include complete disassembly of the instrument, body straightening, body work and dent removal, key fitting and mechanical restoration, tone hole and key cup leveling, chemical cleaning/polishing, replacement of all materials (corks, felts, and pads/resonators), and a pro setup. (See pad and resonator options below. Cosmetic refinishing and modifications by estimate only and will be added to the base overhaul price.) The Clean, Oil, & Adjust (COA) is a complete disassembly of the instrument, including: Cleaning of the body and neck; polishing of silver horns. All keys/parts are cleaned/polished by hand. Old lubricants cleaned from key work and replaced with fresh, clean grease and oil. All pads are cleaned individually by hand. Pads and materials (cork, felt, etc) are replaced as needed.
